Here’s your turnkey paradise hideaway in the rainforest with views of the Golfo Dulce in the distance!
This is a unique property in a special location up in the hills of the Osa Peninsula surrounded by primary forest offering plenty of privacy – with sounds of the rainforest, birds and animals all around.
The Old World Post & Beam architecture of the main house is something special you can only appreciate up close. Designed and built by the current owner / operators using local craftsmen, the Belgian engineer and his wife spent 2 1/2 years on the project. The super solid concrete foundation, walls and roof support design make for an earthquake resistant structure. And as seen around the world some of these old world structures are still standing after 100+ years. All the hardwoods were harvested on site from fallen trees. No plastic, no synthetics, no tin roofs. The clay roof tiles now with their natural Patina finish make for cooler living and better soundproofing from the rain.
From the dual water systems, pumps and storage tower, the mechanical / electrical rooms, utility and storage rooms everything was well thought out in detail using only high quality components and materials. Designed and built to last.
It’s obvious when you go there this was a labor of love.
Bordering along the Barrigones River there is plenty of potential to expand on the extensive 55 acre property.
